Why Japan’s Best Sake is Made in Fukushima?

In 2018, Japanese sake from Fukushima Prefecture won the most gold prizes at the Japan Sake Awards for a record-breaking 6th year in a row.

But why is that so?
For seeking the answer, this video takes you around Fukushima in the harvest season of rice.

Japanese Sake Brewery Fukushima

In Fukushima, there are 50 Sakagura (sake breweries), where Sake has been made by inherited skills and continual improvements. Fukushima is also the production area for various kinds of sake ingredients. 

Japanese Sake Making Process

Embedding these natural surroundings, the brewers of Fukushima try to get a great Sake with high dimensions and diversity.  Fukushima’s natural beauty, quality ingredients, and traditional techniques combine to create the world’s best sake.
