It is said that the first sake in Japan was produced in Unnan city in Shimane prefecture. Here, Kisuki sake brewery mindfully brews sake using the beautiful, natural local water and local rice, especially suited for sake production.
The company’s main brand is Minami Taiheiyo (South Pacific). When they started business in 1923, they wanted to express an image of greatness or vastness, and South Pacific perfectly reflected this image, and so the brand name Minami Taiheiyo was created.
